Oh, fun. Paper work at the Mizukage's building...

Misa sat at her desk, neat piles of paper work were separated evenly in front of her. She let out a heavy sigh as she quickly scanned through the paper work she was reading; not having to read it thoroughly to understand it. She picked up a pen that she found next to her and began to sign some papers. The seventeen year old Mizukage ignored the straining feeling in her hand as she signed the sheet of paper, and continued. All she had left were about...twelve more stacks to go? She placed the ball point pen down, her ocean blue eyes looking up. Her gaze then shifted towards the window, and she scooted her chair back and stood up. She crossed her arms as she walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window, peering out across the whole village. A sheet of cyan blue blanketed the beautiful sky, a thin layer of mist sufficating the air. The chirping of the blue jays outside her window drowned out the empty room's silence. So many times she has wished to stop the endless sights of mist. She pulled away from the window and slowly headed back to her desk, taking her time as she sat down. Misa placed both of her elbows on the mahogany desk's surface, intertwining her fingers as she clasped her hands together and resting her mouth against it. Misa closed her eyes as she now had new worries to work with; the paper work before her could wait.

Just then, a knock came from the two wide double-doors, and Misa looked up at them. They then opened up, and Misa's apprentice walked in. She closed the doors from behind her and turned around as she faced her. She quickly bowed and stood up straight, fixing her untidy mint green hair. Strands of her hair were slightly falling out of the messy bun that was pulled in the back and held in by two large black chop sticks. Her hair was frizzy from being in the hot humidity that the mist carried along with its ghastly presence, along with her clothes. Misa slightly raised her eyebrows in a kind manner as inyes? as she stared at her apprentice, Kikyo. Kikyo was a level-headed girl, a rational thinker. She was under Misa's training to be a medical ninja. The relationship the two had was very close, Kikyo was the only one to ever see Misa's mean side, the only one Misa trusted, truely. Though they were very close, in public they seemed to be distant. "Lady Mis- I mean, Misa-" as Misa always corrected her whenever she did that, telling her to call her Misa, because whenever Kikyo called her Lady Misa, being 17 years old and being called that, it made her feel old, "I have more paper work for you, and you know I'm willing to help you with it," she stammered, trying to catch her breath. That's what the large white box she caressed in her arms was. Misa inhaled deeply, and smiled, removing her hand from her face and slightly swatting it towards Kikyo. "It's alright Kikyo, please, just place it beside my desk and I'll do it later, I still have to finish this first," she reassured, then staring at the stacks of paper on her desk. Kikyo quickly nodded and walked over to her desk and placed the box beside her. "I'll summon someone to get you when I do those," she lied. Kikyo didn't look convinced, knowing Misa, she never wanted someone to do something for her, though she always says she'd appreciate it. Kikyo knew Misa was the type of her person who felt as if she didn't need any help, that she could do everything by herself. She was so used to having to do everything alone, so she had gotten used to it. 

A moment of silence passed, and Kikyo bowed then scurried out of the room, closing the doors quietly behind her. Misa ran her right hand through her long, light blonde hair and picked up her pen again, and continued on the paper work that lay before her. The new sheet of paper that Misa had just picked up was talking about a new security policy that she had suggested not too long ago; all outsiders and immigrants must be searched and are required to submit their information and are kept under surveillance 24/7. It's about time they decided to make it official. 

She then placed that one to the side after signing it and began to read the next one, her mouth then fell slightly open, a gasp popping from her mouth. "What the hell?!" she said. She was supposed to be assigned a body guard. Misa did not need a body gard; she easily took out three jounins in less than a minute a couple of times. She wanted to rip the paper apart, but didn't. On the paper it had said that she had to have one. In case of any emergencies, it had said. Misa's eyes shot up at the door. "Kikyo!" she yelled, panicking. In a matter of seconds Kikyo emerged into the room. "Yes Lady Misa?" she asked in a worried voice, failing to call Misa just by her name. Misa didn't even give Kikyo a second to walk over, in a half second she had crumbled up the paper and pegged it at Kikyo's head, a bit too hard because of her slight annoyance of what it was about. Kikyo stumbled back once the paper hit her right in the forehead, and her hand flew up to her forehead, rubbing it. She bent down and snatched the balled up paper and unwrapped it. With her hand removed from her forehead, there was a big red mark where she had been hit by the paper. Misa crossed her arms and looked out the window, pouting like a child. Yes, maybe she was just 17, but age never mattered. They knew how strong she was...why did she have to have one? Kikyo looked up from the paper. "It's not a bad idea, I mean the body guard could be very helpful."

A dark figure stands on top of a tall tower, its was Kazu he just came back from a 1 year and a half mission, back then he was wearing a white cloak and his brand new kitsune ANBU he made since his last one broke, he has changed so much over the year, he gotten stronger and a little quite muscular since then, but his face had stayed the way its always had been good looking as always although, "Its been a whole year since I seen Tifa" he thought as he lifted his arm with Tifa ribbon on it, he missed her so much but it was gonna have to wait, he had been assigned to guard the new Mizukage.

He takes out the paper, of the duty he been assigned it was kinda odd of how he returned from his travels and already working, well he was the most powerful ANBU in the land of fire. He jumps off to the Hokage building, with speed as it shown he gotten a lot faster since then. He lands in the entrance, as the guards let him through he walks up the stairs with a quiet pace, he opens the door to the long hallway. He quietly walks to the door stopping in front of it "I heard she like the same age as me or something....I wonder whats she like" he thought as he knocked on the door loud enough for the Mizukage to hear. He makes sure his ANBU mask is on so she cant see his face, then opens the door quietly "...Lord Mizukage....I have been assigned to be your personal body guard...my name is Kazu Hayabusa" he said knowing she might heard of him

Misa looked up, and smiled, hiding her annoyance. "Hello, Kazu," she said, raising from her seat abd walking over to him. She looked identicle to Tifa, but more beautiful. She was a breath-taking girl with blonde hair that fell to the middle of her back, her image screaming the words flawless. Her bone structure was alligned perfectly, down to every detail. The Mizukage's eyes weren't just one color, but many.  They were exploding with brightness, variations of blues engulfing them; ranging from light blues to even dark blues. They looked like smalls pools of an ocean, clear and blue. She didn't wear any make-up, but still managed to naturally look like a glass doll. With her ethereal self, it was almost as though she were a puppet with how flawless she looked, her appearance screaming the words embodied perfection. She held out her hand for him to shake.

She knew exactly who he was when she heard his name. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I hear that you are the most powerful ANBU in the land of fire. I expect great expectations from you, Mr. Hayabusa," she said with a breath-taking smile on her lips. She heard Kikyo silently dismiss herself from the room, leaving Kazu and Misa to talk. "You can just call me Misa, if you wish."

Kazu looked at the Mizukage from afar, she knew who she was "So you do know who I am, even though I been gone for a entire year?....thats a stretch" he said as he looked at her seeing she looked identical to the woman he knew Tifa, which kinda made his eyes widen hidden beneath his mask, every thing about her was perfect but he prefer Tifa all the way "I gotta say its about time a woman, other than some man to run this village thats the way its supposed to be in the first place" he said as she walked over to him holding her hand out, his gloved hand took ahold of her flawless hand and give her a gentle handshake.

Kazu nodded "The pleasures all mine...and it is true I am the most powerful ANbu in the land of fire...and dont worry I will not let you down" he said pulled his hand away slowly back under his white cloak as Kikyo left shutting the door "You know Misa, you kinda look like my partner Tifa to almost say you guys are twins" he said as he looked out the window, hoping he would run into Tifa soon, as back then he left without saying anything to her knowing she might felt really bad for leaving her, but he made a promise that he wouldn't and he attends keep it

"You know Misa, you kinda look like my partner Tifa to almost say you guys are twins," Kazu said, making Misa gasp. Her eyes darted towards him, slightly narrowing. So, might as well tell him. "Of course i know who you are. Afterall, you were all i had a year ago..." she said softly, then adding, "Do you think Misa is a good cover up name? I couldn't quite think of a better one that I'd like to be called," she said, laughing softly. She sat on her desk, crossing her legs and placing her palms flat on the desk, looking at him with a smile. "I wanted something that was close to Tifa, so I used Misa," she explained, looking up at him. It was Tifa. The reason for why she looked more...gracious was because it's been a year - people grow, people change. It was really her! 

"Once you left, I wasn't so sure what to do anymore. It was rather awkward, and so I'd request for the hardest missions. I finally did get one, and I was sent on a mission to Yukigakure; it didn't turn out so well. It was either change my identity and be a new person, or death. So I chose the first option... Everyone forgot about Tifa, to which left me to be relieved. Now, I'm known as Misa Amane. It's good to have you back." He'd be the only one to know, besides the past Mizukage, who was now deceased.   

Kazu was kinda shock that she revealed she was Tifa all along. He felt like a idiot, he should've known theres no one more beautiful than Tifa in this entire village "I should've known your the only one whos perfect and beautifull in this village....there's no wonder people look up to you even more" he said pointing to her smiling under his mask, as he heard she had to cover up her name from Tifa to Misa "Yeah...it is a good cover up Misa seems a few similar to your old one just change the T and F and you got Misa" he said as he nodded

As she sat on her desk, she explained how difficult it was for her. He felt bad pretty quick, he was gone for a whole year and wasnt there to back her up, Kazu head hunged down, then he walks up to her desk right in front of her crossed legs....after all they been through he left her with out a word or anything "....Tif---Misa....I am truly deeply sorry I left without a word, Im sorry I should've told you of where I was going..." he trailed off he lifts his gloved hand with her ribbon tied on his wrists from when they had that arkward moment at his house "...I didnt forget about anything when I left, I didnt forget my promise, and I certainly didnt forget about you...I missed you and the village I wanted to come home but I had to get stronger, but now I realized I left you in danger, I should've been there to back you up but I didnt...Im sorry" he said as his face expression was all depressed under his mask, as he gripped the edges of his cloak

 "I should've known your the only one who's perfect and beautiful in this village....there's no wonder people look up to you even more," Kazu said, causing her to blush slightly, so she looked down to hide it. "I was never looked up to in the beginning," she whispered to herself, breathless. "Yeah...it is a good cover up Misa seems a few similar to your old one just change the T and F and you got Misa," he said with a nod. Misa nodded also, looking up. "Exactly," she said. Kazu's head hung down after she explained her difficulties from his absence, he walking up to her desk right in front of her crossed legs.

"....Tif - Misa... I am truly, deeply sorry I left without a word; I'm sorry I should've told you of where I was going..." he trailed off, lifting his gloved hand with her ribbon tied on his wrist. "...I didn't forget about anything when I left, I didn't forget my promise, and I certainly didn't forget about you... I missed you and the village. I wanted to come home, but I had to get stronger but... Now I realized I left you in danger... I should've been there to back you up but I didn't... I'm sorry," he said.

Misa was staring at her legs as he explained himself, apologizing many times. She shook her head, her bangs motioning side to side as she did so. Slowly, she slide off of the desk and stood up. She couldn't remember the last time she's been so close to him like this. Hesitating, she stood on the tip of her toes and wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him a hug. "Don't apologize... You had to go for a reason..." she said softly.   

Kazu looked at Misa staring at her legs for a good minute then shaking her head, she slid off the desk he could remember the time he's been so close to her, since they met, at the tower and at his house. Things sure has changed but thing still havent changed he stilled loved her very much even though its been a year since they last met. She wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him, he hugged her back wrapping his arms around her placing his gloved hands on her back "But still Im so sorry without telling you, I felt so bad leaving you out of my training and mission".

In the back of his mind he should've took his mask off, but he wanted her take it off for him, but its been a while since she saw his face, back then he had a flawless face, grey hair and crismon red eyes. If she would've took off his ANBU mask, she could see his hair has gotten pure white and a little bit longer but still short as always, a scar over his left eye and a black mask covering his mouth.

"But still, I'm so sorry without telling you, I felt so bad leaving you out of my training and mission," he said as he hugged her back. She closed her eyes and said, "It's okay Kazu... That was the past. Let's put it behind us and look at now. You're here, as so am I." She gave him one last squeeze before breaking away from their embrace. Misa then took a step back, trying to get a good look of him. What she wanted to see was his face, since it's been a year since she last saw him. "If you don't mind," she said, slightly smiling as she brought her hands up.

Raising her arms, she ever so lightly placed her fingers along the mask's edge, gently pulling it off of his head. She lowered her arms, a soft smile pressing against her lips; he still looked the same in a way. His mouth was covered by a skin tight material, and he had a scar over his left eye, causing Misa to be a bit curious. His hair was snow white now, no longer gray. "You've changed," she merely whispered, looking at his face.

As she took a step back her hands, placing her fingers along the mask's edge gently pulling it off of his face. She lowered his mask a bit, he sees her beautiful smile across her lips, he give her a cheerful smile back even though she can't see it. He takes ahold of her hand that's holding his mask, she knew he changed a lot in a year. As for him he might've changed on the outside but on the inside he still the same, he's still the genuine guy she knew, he still loved her and he's still the close friend she had. He closed his eyes then opening them again smiling beneath his thin mask "I might have changed on the inside but I'm still the same I was before" he said to her looking straight at her

He took her hand, and her eyes shot down right at it. She looked back up at him, and slightly smiled. "I know, Kazu. You always find a way to impress me with staying the same for the better," she said, bringing her free hand up to his face and placing it along his cheek and temple, patting it lightly. Her handslid off of his face and she handed him his mask, placing her hands behind her back. Misa looked at him and pouted. "Now I can't see your smile," she lightly complained, pinching the thin mask and pulling it back, then letting go of it, the mask smacking his face. "But I know you won't let me down. I have much trust in you, and faith. Since you're my body guard, you go where I go, no matter what. I hope that's not a problem. If so, we can arrange things," she said, pulling up a chair for him to sit in. Misa walked around her desk and sat in her seat, crosing her arms over her desk. "So what exactly were you doing in Konohagakure besides trainging?" she asked, curious.

As she looked back up at him, he smiled. "I know I impress you any way I possibly can, you know how I am I do whatever I can to...impress you" he said as he almost said the wrong thing to her.He felt her hand on his face as her hand slid off of his face and she gives his mask back, pouting. She looked at him. "Well if you wanna see a smile across my lips, you can always pull it down to look, don't be shy" he teased bit, she pinches the thin mask and pulling it back, then letting go of it, the mask smacking his face. "Ow, of course I would never let you down, I told you I would look for you, I failed once and I won't let that happen again....and plus me following you is no problem at all I could do that all day....and what do you mean arrange things? " he said, sitting in the chair she pulled out, he pulls back his cloak hood off as his wild snow white hair fluffed out then places his new kitsune mask on the desk, but leaves his thin mask on. "Well I got the word of the akatsuki roaming about which lead me to their hideout which turned out to be fake, I ran across 2 members almost killed left me bleeding to death and that how I got the scar on my eye...then I had to recooperate myself, I didn't want to return to you in a bloody mess that's why I stay away I didn't want to endanger you, you know how feel about you especially when you get hurt"

"I know I impress you any way I possibly can, you know how I am. I do whatever I can to...impress you," he said, Misa's eyes slightly widening with how the way it almost came out. She laughed and placed her elbows against the desk, her chin resting in her clasped hands. "What I mean by arrangements is by I can change the rules of what a body guard must do when protecting a Kage. But since you don't mind, I won't have to," she said with a warm smile. She couldn't understand why he wouldn't mind, saying that he could follow her all day. 

She sat there and listened. But once he was done explaining, she didn't look so content. Her eyes analized him carefully, taking note. Seeing the scar over his eye, along with the story behind it, made her eyebrows curve upward into a worried expression. As she did this, the beauty in her face shattered like a mirror as her face contorted into a sad expression. Her perfect lips framed a frown.
"Kazu! I wouldn't care if you came to me in a bloody mess, I would have kept you in safe arms! Don't worry about me being endangered, I'm fine. Look, I'm the Mizukage, I have been since last year... I would've been just fine. I was worried sick about you Kazu! I didn't know if you were hurt, living happily, or even... Even dead... It scared me..." she spoke, her voice almost a mere whisper. "You should have just came back..." So all along, Misa had been worried sick about her friend, while he was gone...just for her safety.

"You should have just came back..." So all along, Misa had been worried sick about her friend, while he was gone...just for her safety. Kazu saw this coming he felt so bad for leaving her, he knew she would go off. He closed his eyes a tear running down his thin mask, he flashsteps behind her chair with amazing speed, he leans over hugging her from behind crying a bit "....I know....I....I should've trust you, but your too precious to me to lose I was scared to lose you....I still have those feelings from before...and I know deep down in your heart you don't wanna lose me either " he sobbed a little he so brave to express his feelings towards her crying in front of her, he never thought he would do this

All along he's... Had feelings for her? All of a sudden, he appeared behind her, his arms wounding around her and hugging her tightly, so close. He was... Crying? She didn't mean to make him cry... Feeling horrible, Misa stood and she spun around in his grasp, wrapping her arms around his torso and hugging him close. She craned her neck up and placed her chin on his shoulder as he bent down a little to hug her. "Shh, Kazu... Kazu... Please, don't cry... You're too precious to me to lose, too. I never want to lose you, Kazu. I adore your presence. I adore you being here right now in my arms, knowing you're safe... I'll never let go of what we have, our friendship, our everything. I'll always protect you with all I have. I'll do anything to keep you breathing - even if it means sacrificing my own life, and you know that," she said in a soft, tranquil voice. She unwound one of her arns from around him and stroked his head, her fingers brushing his soft white hair. Misa never meant to bring out such emotions from Kazu... 

"You're a very brave man to cry in front of me," Misa commented softly, her cool breath brushing against his neck. "Kazu - I didn't mean to hurt you, and I want to apologize for exploding on you, but I was just scared... That's all... All I ever wanted was to know if you were okay. That's all; just a simple request, yet one I couldn't be given."

He smiles as she hugs him back "I thought you already knew I love you cause you said only time will tell, I guess you forgot....can't blame ya its have been a long year" he said as he leaned his forehead on hers like he did when they first met. He feels her hand tangled in his white hair, "That's my second time expressing my deep feelings to you....but that's the first time I cried to you" he said smiling at her wiping his tears

"That's right," she said, slightly smiling, "Time will tell. And yes, a very long year... And it is the second time, huh..." she whispered, her eyes looking up. He put his forehead against hers - just like the first time he did it when they met...

Kazu looked side to side as he makes sure nobody is looking of what he's about to do, he places his forehead on hers lightly. "Hey... I will not cause any harm to you... I can understand where your coming from Tifa, you're not a failure....I mean look at you....your beautiful, your a top rank ANBU....and the most trusting person I know....so dont beat yourself up of the past, and focus on the here and now, which I know you will never let anyone down," he said softly smiling to cheer her up...

Misa smiled at the memory. "Well, I'm just glad you're safe now-" just then Kikyo walked in, but she paused when she looked up and saw Kazu's forehead to Misa's. She blinked, and stared; Misa blushed and frantically pulled away, Kikyo backing out silently and shutting the door behind her. "Oh dear..." Misa whispered, greatly embarrassed.

Kazu smiled at her even though it was hidden. "I'm glad also you don't know how-" he trailed off as Kikyo walked in, but when she paused as soon she looked up and saw Kazu's forehead to Misa's, she blinked, and stared Misa blushed and pulled away from him, Kazu back up from her whistling innocently, Kikyo backing out silently and shutting the door behind her. "Wow....I been here for 30 minutes, and say my feelings...therefore rumors might stop.... no more expressing my feelings of you..." he muttered facepalming himself in embrassment, he feels himself blushing darkly he quickly puts his kitsune mask on humming nervously hoping Misa will noticed himself hiding behind his mask, he quickly looks at the window still hiding

Misa appears beside him, thereafter snatching off his mask and holding it away from him, pinching it between in thumb and index finger. "You're blushing!" she teased, poking his forehead and laughing, hiding the mask behind her back. "I wonder what Kikyo is thinking..." she muttered, her eye twitching. Her head snapped towards the door, a low grin creeping upon her lips, but soon disappearing.

"Nah, I'll torture her later," she joked, turning back to Kazu. She took one step back and bent a bit forward, holding up her arm and pointer finger, shaking it side to side. "You don't get your mask back until you take off the one you're wearing now!" she said, smiling slightly, her long, light blonde hair falling over her shoulder as she leaned forward. 

As Misa appears beside him, snatching off his mask, he reaches for it as he blushes more as she holding it away from him, pinching it between in thumb and index finger. "You're blushing! She teased, poking his head and laughing, hiding it from him "...she's probably won't say anything about it" he said raising a eyebrow. Her head looked towards the door, a dark grin creeping upon her lips which kinda freaked him, but relaxed seeing she was joking, then she pointed her finger at his thin mask on his face wanting him to take it off "Why you wanna kiss me or something.....why do you wanna see my face anyway?" he asked, playfully turning to her. He walked over to her leaning forward letting her pointed finger to touch his nose "If you want to see my face so bad take my mask off then, don't be shy" he said smiling a bit

He walked over to her, leaning forward and letting her pointed finger to touch his nose. Misa flinched back, almost falling backwards. "Huwhatt?! Of course not-" she said, standing up straight and placing her arms at her sides, "That's... That's proposterous-" she was cut off when Kazu said, "If you want to see my face so badly, take my mask off then, don't be shy," smiling a bit.

Why did men always have to be lazy? She muttered a swear under her breath and threw his mask back at Kazu, walking towards him. "What, I can't see an old friend's face?" she said, holding her hands up and shrugging. She then reached up and pulled it down, revealing Kazu's full face. She placed her hands on her hips. "Hmm, now that's the Kazu I know!" she said, holding up her pointer finger and sheepishly smiling. 

"Huwhatt?! Of course not-" she said almost falling down, he just smiles ready to laugh at her, she stands up straight and placing her arms at her sides, "That's... That's proposterous-" she was cut off when Kazu said, "If you want to see my face so badly, take my mask off then, don't be shy, smiling a bit. Why did men always have to be lazy? She muttered a swear under her breath and threw his mask back at Kazu, "Misa you know I play around a lot......you didn't really take me seriously about the kiss thing did ya......I was only joking" he said as she walks towards him. "What, I can't see an old friend's face?" she said "You know you can always see my face", he said as she held her hands up reaching up to his mask pulling it down revealing his famous charming smile "Yep its me the Kazu, the one who will protect you from here on in" he said as he places his ANBU mask onthe side of his face

As if he had been in the room the whole time Sebastian appeared behind Misa with a tray in his hands."I thought I would bring you a snack~"He lifted the lid and placed a pastry with guava paste and powder on the desk. "I do hope you like guava...I will take my leave now!"Sebastian handed the empty tray to Kazu and walked out of the room.But before closing the door his eyes glowed, as well as Misa's right eye, and he stuck his head into the room."Don't forget my lord...I AM your bodygaurd..."With that he closed the door.

Misa screamed and her hand immediately flew up to her mouth when she heard Sebastian's voice from behind her. She hadn't heard him come in at all. She stood there, watching him blabber about guava, her hand still covering her mouth as if she were locked in place. "Sebastian..." Misa muttered when he closed the door behind him, lowering her hand from her mouth. "That was rather strange... He's usually not like that," Misa stammered, referring back to when he made it straight that he was Misa's bodyguard. Her eyes glanced at her desk, seeing the pastry with guava paste drizzled on it and powder sprinkled across it. "That was sweet of him, I shall think of something to make it up for..." she said slowly, still in confusion with how he acted. "Sebastian's my butler..." she muttered as she looked at Kazu.

She looked down and stared at the pastry; had she upset Sebastian? If so, she'd confront him at home abd apologize. But there were different standards from being a butler and being a bodyguard. "I'm starting to regret that contract I signed for him..." she mumbled quietly, her eyes still on the pastry. She wasn't in the mood for a snack at the moment. Maybe later. Misa grabbed the dish and called Kikyo in. The assisstant stumbled in and bowed to Misa. "Yes, Lady Misa?" she asked, looking at her strangely because of what she was holding. Where did she get that? Kikyo thought. "Take this and refregerate it, please. I'll have it later," Misa said, nodding her hand in a thank you way, Kikyo taking the plate and doing as she was told.

Kazu covered his ears, and stepped back before her butler think that something is going on. It was so strange that this guy just pop up like that. He was given a tray to hold but then Kikyo took it away like she was told "Um Misa....do you want him as a bodyguard or me?" he asked feeling kinda bad on the inside but doesnt show it, as seeing sebastian kinda angry about it. Kazu doesnt know how to deal with this but whatever choice Misa chooses, he will accept cause a good friend will never oppose a friends choice
